EL PASO, Texas — Police in El Paso, Texas, are warning parents to be alert after a child was filmed inside the bathroom of a restaurant.
In a news release, officers said the 10-year-old was using the bathroom when they saw someone “holding a cellphone and recording the child from underneath the stall.” Police said the incident happened Saturday and warned parents to watch their children at all times.
“This can occur anywhere. Predators are opportunists and they will take the opportunity anytime anyplace they can do those kinds of things for lewd purposes,” Sergeant Enrique Carrillo of the El Paso Police Department told KFOX.
Investigators told KVIA that the suspect was male, and that the incident happened Saturday at the Golden Corral restaurant in west El Paso.
The child immediately told their parents, who contacted the police.
No arrests have been made in the case.
