Dump truck hits semi on I-75 at SR 4 in Dayton, crash causes delays

DAYTON — UPDATE @ 12:50 p.m.

A dump truck hit the side of a semi, pushing it into a concrete barrier wall.

The crash happened around noon on northbound Interstate 75 at state Route 4, and has led to the closure of Exit 54B.

The crash happened as the driver of the dump truck tried to go around an earlier traffic hazard when a Waste Management truck caught fire, according to the driver of a State Farm traffic assistance truck.

A crash involving a semi and a dump truck on Interstate 75 at state Route 4 in Dayton is causing traffic problems.

The ramp to Route 4 has been shut down and traffic is moving slowly. It’s unclear whether there were injuries.
