Tipp City to begin spraying for mosquitoes later this month

TIPP CITY — Tipp City has announced that they will be fogging for mosquitos in the community later this month.

The fogging in residential and downtown areas will be done over city streets, according to a release from the city.

The first applications will be done on May 24 and include City Park and Kyle Park. If rain interrupts the fogging crews will attempt to spray the following day.

Crews will begin to spray at 9:00 p.m. and finish around 3:00 a.m. that night.

According to the release, four additional foggings will take place during the following weeks.

  • Second application will be done on June 7
  • Third application will be done on June 21
  • Fourth application will be done on July 5
  • Fifth application will be done on July 26

The public is advised to avoid direct contact with the fogging mist and to close house and vehicle windows.
