URBANA, Ohio — Police in Urbana are investigating the armed robbery of the People’s Savings Bank that happened around 9 a.m. Thursday on Scioto Street.
Officers are gathering evidence and talking with witnesses who were inside the bank at the time of the robbery. They said no one was injured during the robbery.
According to police, the robber fled the scene on foot with an unknown amount of money.
The robber is described as being a white male, 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing around 175 pounds. Police said the man was wearing light-colored knee-length shorts, a dark-colored shirt, dark baseball hat with a green insignia, along with a tattoo on his back left leg.
