UPDATE: Sidney man killed in Shelby County accident identified

SHELBY COUNTY — A Sidney man died early Tuesday afternoon when injured during an accident while trying to repair an air brake line on a trailer his semi was hauling.

The victim was identified by the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office as Evan Winner, 25, of Sidney.

Shelby County Chief Deputy Jim Frye said Winner died from injuries he suffered while making a repair under a trailer.

He was hauling a piece of construction equipment.

The incident happened along the 8000 block of Cisco Road near Fort Loramie Tuesday afternoon.

He was flown from the scene aboard CareFlight to MVH in Dayton where he died.
