DAYTON — UPDATE @ 11:25 a.m. (July 16):
Deputies are asking for the public’s help locating a possible victim of a shooting incident Thursday in Harrison Twp. that ended with a pursuit and crash.
The incident started with deputies hearing several shots fired in the area of Townhouse Court around 12:40 p.m. Thursday.
Witnesses said a woman might have been a victim of the shooting but took off from the scene before deputies arrived, a spokesperson for the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office said in a media release Friday morning.
Witnesses described the victim as a heavyset white female with short, cropped hair, the spokesperson said. She was driving a newer model, white, “bubble style” car that could have several bullet holes in it.
Deputies are asking for anyone with information about the potential victim or if they saw the vehicle to contact detectives through the Montgomery County Regional Dispatch Center at 937-225-4357.
The incident resulted with deputies pursuing a gold car that also fled from the scene. The pursuit ended with the car crashing into a tree at Salem Avenue and Amherst Place. One person, who was not identified, was taken into custody near the crash scene while another person in the car was able to run from the scene and elude deputies.

FIRST REPORT (July 15):
One person is in custody and another is on the run following a police pursuit involving shots fired in Harrison Twp. Thursday afternoon.
Around 12:40 p.m., deputies heard numerous shots fired in the area of Townhouse Court while responding to a different incident at Siebenthaler Avenue and Kleppinger Road. Deputies said there were numerous shell casings in a parking lot, which investigators believe involved two people firing guns.
Officers spotted a gold car with two people inside flee the area speeding.
A deputy tried to stop the car, but the driver refused to stop and led deputies on a pursuit lasting about four minutes.
The pursuit ended in the area of Cornell Drive and Amherst Place when the car crashed into a tree. The car reportedly caught fire.
Investigators have one man in custody and are looking for a second male, according to initial reports.
The intersection of Salem Avenue, Cornell Drive and Delaware Avenue was closed for the investigation.
