Seven people have been taken to the hospital and two firefighters were injured after an overnight fire at a Cincinnati apartment.
Cincinnati Fire and EMS were called to a 3-alarm fire at the Hammond North Apartments on Hamilton Avenue in College Hill after 3:00 a.m., according to the Cincinnati Fire Department’s Twitter page.

Fire officials report seven people were taken to a hospital in Cincinnati, and two firefighters were treated for minor injuries at the scene.

Just before 5:00 a.m., the fire department said they were working to remove smoke from the building.
Hamilton Ave update: the fire is now out, and we are working to remove smoke from this very large bldg. We have transported 7 civilians to the hospital from the fire. 2 FF’s also received minor injuries. We will be on scene for some time yet. pic.twitter.com/pbKIuhQe2j
