COSHOCTON COUNTY — A man was arrested after deputies said he shot his granddaughter.

Deputies were called to a home in White Eyes Township for a reported shooting.
Rick Phillips, 71, got into an argument with his 24-year-old granddaughter, CBS-affiliate WOIO reported.

Deputies said Phillips got a shotgun and fired at her while she was in the yard, hitting her.
The Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office Special Response Team (SRT) was called to respond.
Negotiators were able to get Phillips out of the home.
He was taken into custody.
Phillips has been charged with felonious assault.
