Guns, ammunition and medication were stolen from a Kettering family’s home while they were asleep in their beds.
William Short said he heard from officers today that none of the weapons have shown up at local pawn shops or anywhere else since they were taken from a locked cabinet last Wednesday.
Someone entered the home on Midvale Street around 5:30 a.m. and found a key to the cabinet in a drawer.
“We’ve been violated,” Short said. “But to be sleeping in your bed and them come in and do that, that just takes it to another level.”
Short said officers told him the thief was probably somebody he knows or someone who knew the weapons were in the home.
