FBI asks public to help find, ID ‘John Doe 29’

Do you know this man?

The FBI is asking the public to help identify him because he may have critical information pertaining to the identity of a child victim in an ongoing sexual exploitation investigation.

Tuesday, the FBI released photos and an informational poster depicting the man, known only as John Doe 29.

Initial images of John Doe 29, shown with a child, were recorded by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children in January 2008. Investigators for the FBI and the national center believe enhanced images they’ve been able to produce contain several clues that may assist with the identification of the man.

For example, some of those additional images include one that shows the man wearing a silver ring on his left ring finger, another depicting the victim wearing blue and white Velcro Nike brand tennis shoes.

There are no specific details linking the man to a particular state or region of the United States, according to the FBI.

John Doe 29 is described as having a tan complexion, likely between 30 and 45 years old, with dark hair.
