West Carrollton police released photos of a man they say robbed Speedway at gunpoint.
Officers were dispatched around 1:45 a.m. Tuesday to the convenience store at 657 East Dixie Drive.
The clerk told officers she was afraid for her unborn baby as the suspect showed her a gun and demanded money from the register. She also told police that the man wanted money from the safe, and when she said she did not have access, he threw a charity collection jar that was on the counter at her, according to police.
The suspect got away with an undetermined amount of cash and fled the scene on foot.
Police described him as a black male wearing a green jacket, black gloves, black bandana covering his face, and carrying a black backpack.
Officers used a K9 to attempt to track the man, but came up empty on their search. Police say the track was very short, and are looking at a possible vehicle the suspect used that might have been waiting in a nearby parking lot.
No injuries were reported in the incident.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the West Carrollton Police Department.
