Dayton police: Alcohol a factor in Wayne Ave. crash

3 taken to hospital in SUV, pickup collision

UPDATE @ 6:27 p.m.:

Three people were taken to a local hospital this evening after a crash between a pickup and sport-utility vehicle.

The crash was reported at 5:34 p.m. near the intersection of Wayne Avenue and Wyoming Street.

According to Dayton police, a Chevrolet S-10 pickup truck was headed north on Wayne Avenue when the driver of a Buick Rendezvous pulled out in front of the truck.

The driver of the pickup and two adults in the SUV were taken to a local hospital. None of the injuries were considered life-threatening.

According to Dayton police, the SUV driver is at fault in the crash, and alcohol is suspected.

FIRST REPORT

A second medic was called to the scene of an injury crash this evening at the intersection of Wayne Avenue and Wyoming Street.

The crash was reported shortly after 5:30 p.m.

Northbound Wyoming Street is temporarily blocked following the crash.
