Miami Valley COVID-19 vaccines: Ohioans 40+ now eligible

MIAMI VALLEY — Ohioains 40 and older are now eligible to get a COVID-19 vaccine.

WHO IS ELIGIBLE:

On Friday, those age 40 and older will be eligible.

All adult Ohioans can get the vaccine starting March 29.

Law enforcement, childcare workers, pregnant women, those with Type 2 diabetes and end-stage renal disease are eligible as well.

Already included are K-12 school teachers and staff only for schools that elected to return to in-person learning by March 1 and those with specific medical conditions listed on coronavirus.ohio.go

WHO WILL GIVE THE SHOTS:

  • Physicians, local health departments, hospitals, federally-qualified health centers, in-home health service providers, as well as some retail and independent pharmacies will be giving shots.

WHERE CAN I GET A VACCINATION:

  • The Ohio Department of Health has launched a state portal to schedule COVID-19 appointments. You can go to the online site to schedule at gettheshot.coronavirus.ohio.gov. The site links you to vaccine providers to schedule the appointment.
  • A Vaccine Provider Locations searchable directory is available at vaccine.coronavirus.ohio.gov allowing Ohioans to search by county and ZIP code to find a provider in their area.
  • Kroger announced it will have limited vaccines available. Appointments will need to be needed. More information is available on Kroger’s website or by calling 866-211-5320.
  • Discount Drug Mart will be offering vaccinations. To schedule visit www.discount-drugmart.com or call your local store.
  • Meijer Pharmacy locations in the Miami Valley will begin to receive COVID-19 vaccines. You can text COVID to 75049 and you will receive a link to register. You also can register online at clinic.meijer.com.
  • Walmart will begin administering COVID-19 vaccines at several locations in the Miami Valley on Saturday, March 13. Eligible patients can schedule a vaccine appointment by visiting www.Walmart.com/COVIDvaccine.

PREMIER HEALTH: To schedule a vaccine call (937) 276-4141 between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. seven days a week. Due to high call volumes, Premier Health advises to schedule online through a Premier Health MyChart account.

Visit www.premierhealth.com/vaccine view appointment times that are available, and self-schedule vaccinations.

KETTERING HEALTH NETWORK: To register for an appointment at any of Kettering Health’s Clinics below go to ketteringhealth.org/coronavirus. A call center is also available daily from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. to help patients schedule vaccination appointments. Community members can call 1-844-576-3627 to schedule.

  • Kettering location: 2040 E. Dorothy Lane (former Elder Beerman)
  • Jamestown location: 4790 Cottonville Road
  • Dayton location: Grace United Methodist Church, 1001 Harvard Blvd.
  • Beavercreek location: Beavercreek Health Center, 2510 Commons Blvd.
  • Xenia location: Greene Memorial Hospital in the Vera T. Schneider Building, 1141 N. Monroe Drive.

MONTGOMERY COUNTY:

  • Public Health - Dayton & Montgomery County: Registration begins at 8:30 am on Friday, March 19 for clinics at the Dayton Convention Center next week. A minority clinic also is scheduled for March 19 at the Bethesda Temple. To register for any of the clinics visit www.phdmc.org or call 937-225-6217.
  • To help bridge the health care gap, and to facilitate equitable vaccine access, Public Health is allocating 25% of its COVID-19 vaccine for use at Minority Health Outreach Vaccination Clinics. Public Health is hosting a COVID-19 Minority Vaccination Clinic for individuals 50 years or older, or with qualifying medical conditions or occupations. Friday, March 12, from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm at Bethesda Temple, 3701 Salem Ave, in Harrison Twp. To schedule an appointment call (937) 225-6217, Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.
  • Five Rivers Health Centers: Appointments can be scheduled at fiverivershealthcenters.org when additional vaccinations become available.
  • Community Health Centers of Greater Dayton: Call central scheduling to set-up your appointment at 937-461-6869.

MIAMI COUNTY:

  • Miami County Public Health: Registration also will open Monday, Mar. 15 at 9:00 a.m. for the next open registration. If you have questions about COVID-19 vaccines or registration call 937-573-3500. You can also register by filling out the registration form online at miamicountyhealth.net. If you register online a member of Public Health will contact you to schedule an appointment.

GREENE COUNTY:

BUTLER COUNTY:

  • Primary Health Solutions will be providing COVID-19 vaccines to the community according to the guidelines set forth by the Ohio Department of Health. Individuals should call 513-454-1117 or go to Schedule an appointment by visiting: www.community-first.org/pharmacy to make an appointment. Addresses for the vaccines to be distributed by Primary Health Solutions are 1036 S. Verity Parkway, Middletown and 210 S. 2nd Street, Hamilton.
  • Butler County General Health District: The health department is collecting information from organizations and people that are eligible for COVID-19 Vaccines. The survey is available at www.bchealth.us and is not a guarantee that you will receive a vaccine from BCGHD, but will allow the department to contact you when your turn comes up. You can also register by phone at 513-863-1770.
  • City Of Middletown Health Department is conducting pre-registration for the phases of the vaccine that are currently open at covid.cityofmiddletown.org. The address where the vaccine is being administered is 1 Donham Plaza, Middletown.
  • City of Hamilton Health Department is scheduling COVID-19 vaccinations. Residents must have a scheduled appointment. You can fill out the online vaccination form at www.hamilton-oh.gov or by phone at 513-785-7080. If you qualify for the vaccine, a member of the staff will contact you when they have available vaccines for your age group.

DARKE COUNTY:

  • Family Health is partnering with Darke County Health Department, Wayne HealthCare, and Reid Hospital to get COVID-19 vaccinations out to residents in Darke County. Darke County residents can email covidvaccine@familyhealthservices.org and include your name, birthday and phone number to be added to a waitlist. You can also call 937-547-2399 and provide your name, birthday and phone number to be added. Family Health will contact you when you are eligible for an appointment.

AUGLAIZE COUNTY:

  • The Auglaize County Health Department will begin scheduling appointments for our COVID Vaccine clinics at 8:30 am on March 11, 2021, for the week of March 15. To schedule call (419) 738-3410 and select option 1. Schedule availability will depend on the amount of vaccine recieved. For more information please visit our website www.auglaizehealth.org.
  • Grand Lake Health will have a limited supply of the COVID-19 vaccine. To schedule an appointment if you fall in the ages currently eligible for vaccinations you can call 419-300-1132. Additional information is available here.

LOGAN COUNTY:

  • Logan County residents should visit www.loganhealth.org/ to complete the online form to be added to the waiting list.
  • If you do not have the means available to use the website entry, you must call (937) 592-9040, Option 6 to be added to the waiting list.

CHAMPAIGN COUNTY:

  • Champaign Health District will be hosting a Janssen/Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccination clinic Friday March 19, 2021. Vaccines will be available by appointment only and those interested should register online for an appointment. Register at gettheshot.coronavirus.ohio.gov.

CLARK COUNTY:

  • The Clark County Combined Health District, in partnership with Mercy Health is scheduling appointments for qualifying individuals on Weekdays from 8am to 5pm. Alternatively, you can schedule online by visiting www.ccchd.com and clicking the banner. Some appointments have been reserved for those who are unable to schedule online.
  • Rocking Horse Community Health Center, located at 651 S. Limestone St. in Springfield will be offering the vaccine by appointment only during varied hours. Rocking Horse patients will take priority. Valid identification and insurance information will be collected. To schedule your vaccine appointment, call 927-525-4521.
  • The New Carlisle Community Health Center located at 106 N. Main St. in New Carlisle has a dedicated phone line for scheduling at 937-543-0310

SHELBY COUNTY:

  • Wilson Health: Ohioans who are eligible can find out more details, check availability, and schedule appointments through Wilson Health’s website at www.wilsonhealth.org/vaccine.
  • Sidney-Shelby County Health Department: To schedule through the Sidney-Shelby County Health Department visit: https://shelbycounty.simplybook.me/v2/

PREBLE COUNTY:

  • Preble County Public Health is registering those eligible to get vaccinated on vaccinatepreble.com.

WARREN COUNTY:

  • Warren County Health District: To inquire about getting an appointment for a vaccine you can visit www.warrenchd.com or call 513-695-7468
  • HealthSource of Ohio: Register to get a vaccine beginning at www.healthsourceofohio.org or call 513-732-8500

CLINTON COUNTY:

  • Clinton County Health Department: The Clinton County Health District will be opening its phone bank (937-382-3829) on Friday, Jan. 29, at 9:00 a.m. to schedule COVID-19 vaccinations for County Residents that are 70 years of age and older.
  • Clinton Memorial Hospital: To schedule you are being asked to call 937-382-9610 Monday through Friday between 8:30 a.m. and 4 p.m.

MERCER COUNTY:

  • Mercer County Health District: A vaccination clinic will be held on March 24 at the Mercer County Fairgrounds from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Individuals who are 40 years of age and older or who are otherwise eligible under Phase 1 or Phase 2 of the COVID-19 vaccination program can be vaccinated during this clinic. Register online beginning March 20 at 8 a.m. Anyone unable to register online can make an appointment by calling 567-890-2619 on March 22 and 23 from noon to 3 p.m.
  • Mercer Health: Registration and additional information is available online at https://mercer-health.com/covid-19-coronavirus-information. Vaccine recipients will be asked to enter their name, date of birth, address, and phone number. Anyone unable to register online can call 567-890-7188. A Mercer Health representative will call all registered recipients to confirm registration and finalize appointment details. Individuals who do not meet the criteria will not receive a phone call to confirm registration.
