FAIRBORN — A new partnership will allow students at Wright State University to make the sky their classroom.
Students will be able to register for flight training classes offered by First Flight Aviation , the university announced.
First Flight Innovation is a Federal Aviation Administration-approved flight school located at Dayton-Wright Brothers Airport.

Students will have access to all ground and flight training necessary to complete the required pilot ratings, according to a release.
The university said the courses will be considered “special topic electives” and credit hours earned will count toward student’s graduation requirements.
The partnership also hopes to help with the nationwide pilot shortage, Gil Turner, aviation director for the City of Dayton said in a release.
