DAYTON — Two women were seriously injured in a crash in Dayton early Sunday morning.

Around 2:04 a.m. crews were dispatched to US 35 Westbound and Abbey Ave on reports of a single-vehicle crash.

An investigation revealed that a dark blue Chevrolet HHR was going west on US 35 and went off the right side of the road after crossing the intersection at Abbey Avenue, according to a spokesperson for Dayton Police.
The car hit a guardrail end and an overhead light before flipping multiple times and landing on its roof in a grassy field.
The driver, a 25-year-old woman, was transported to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Her passenger, a 21-year-old woman, was taken to the hospital with suspected serious injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
