DAYTON — A woman was seriously injured after a crash near a local Volleyball Club early Saturday morning.

Just after midnight on Saturday, Jan 25, crews responded to the 1000 block of Gateway Drive in Dayton on reports of a crash.

According to the crash report obtained by News Center 7, 29-year-old Elizabeth Reynolds was driving “at an excessive rate of speed” on Findlay Street.
Reynolds then lost control of the vehicle and struck the raised median. The vehicle continued across the median and into the opposite lanes of travel.
After traveling onto the shoulder, the vehicle continued across the grass area near the Setters Volleyball Club at 1008 Gateway Drive, according to the crash report.
The vehicle then traveled into the parking lot of the Volleyball Club where it struck two other vehicles, causing “disabling damage.”
The vehicle kept moving until it hit a fence surrounding the volleyball courts and came to a final rest.
Reynolds was seriously injured and was taken to an area hospital.
Alcohol is a suspected factor, according to the crash report.
