What’s Going on with Fast Food? Today on News Center 7 beginning at 5

DAYTON — Remember when fast food used to be a convenient option for something quick, yummy, and cheap? What happened to the so-called “value meals?”

Fast food prices are rising faster than inflation, with some “value meals” nearing $12.

A recent survey from Datassential found 46% of consumers cut their spending on eating out.

“People are angry, rightly so,” said University of Dayton Marketing Department Head Riley Dugan.
