Critter causes nearly 3K to be without power Sunday morning

MONTGOMERY COUNTY — Power has been restored to the more than 2,000 people who were without power in Montgomery County Sunday morning.

Around 8:30 a.m., 2,961 customers were without power in the Miamisburg area, according to the AES outage map.

A spokesperson for AES said the outage was caused by a “critter” crawling into an electrical substation in Miamisburg and disrupting the equipment.

Power was restored around 10 a.m.
