VIDEO: Stretch of U.S. 35 causes issues for drivers as rain falls on Thursday

DAYTON — A stretch of U.S. 35 west in Dayton caused issues for drivers during the morning and afternoon commutes Thursday, as rain fell across the Miami Valley.

Police responded to three crashes at the same spot on U.S. 35 near Steve Whalen Blvd.

While the crash reports are not completed for either crashes, but Ohio Department of Transportation cameras captured one of the crashes.

Video showed a car in the left lane spin out and crash into the guardrail near the exit ramp just before 8:30 a.m. It was one of two crashes there Thursday morning.

Then, just after 3 p.m., another crash was reported where a car had hit and flipped over the same guardrail.

We’re working to learn more about the crashes and if anyone was hurt.
