Police: Teen driver flips car on I-675 in Centerville

UPDATE @ 9:55 a.m.:

Wet roads and possible speeding are factors in a rollover crash Saturday morning in the southbound lanes of Interstate 675.

A 17-year-old driver was taken to a hospital as a precaution after the teen’s Honda Civic landed on its top in the single-vehicle wreck, Centerville police Sgt. Jim Shanesy said.

The driver, whose name was not released, will be cited for failure to control through Montgomery County Juvenile Court.

UPDATE @ 8:36 a.m.:

The scene has cleared and the right lane has reopened after the rollover crash on southbound I-675.

FIRST REPORT:

A vehicle ended on its top after a rollover crash on southbound Interstate 675 at the Wilmington Pike bridge, according to initial reports.

Crews responded to the scene Saturday around 7:15 a.m.

The right lane is blocked.

It’s unknown whether anyone was injured at this time.
