UPDATE: Missing Celina man ID’d as body recovered from Grand Lake St. Marys

CELINA — A missing Celina man has been identified as the body recovered from Grand Lake St. Marys earlier this week, according to Celina police.

Tre Bilger, 26, was identified by the Montgomery County Coroner’s Office as the body pulled from the lake Tuesday, police said in a media release.

Bilger’s cause of death was not released pending autopsy results which are expected to take several weeks, investigators said.

Police requested the public’s assistance to locate Bilger in late February. He was last seen February 18 when he left to buy cigarettes, and went with an unknown person in a white pickup truck, police previously said in a Facebook post.

The Celina Police Department is requesting assistance from the public to locate a missing 26 year old man, Tre Bilger of 516 E Wayne St., Celina. Bilger was first reported missing on February 21st by his mother. She had last seen him on February 18th, when he left to get cigarettes. He left with an unknown person in a white, extended cab, Ford pickup truck. Celina Police detectives have been following up on tips from the public.
