Things to do in Beavercreek this weekend: Plant trading, free kites, and more!

BEAVERCREEK — There are several events around Beavercreek to attend this weekend.

  • The Beavercreek Parks, Recreation & Culture Division will host Perennial Trade Day at Rotary Park shelter, at 2260 Dayton-Xenia Road, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Participants will bring at least 10 plants to trade with others.
  • Free kites will be handed out at Rotary Park Shelter, the Beavercreek Parks, Recreation & Culture Division will hand out free kites from 11:00 a.m. to noon.

  • Beavercreek Police Department will take part in National Drug Take Back Day from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the police department on Research Park Drive. They will be collecting expired, unused, and unwanted prescription drugs. Pills must be taken out of their container and placed in a clear bag. Officers cannot accept liquids, inhalers, or sharp items such as needles.
