A teenage driver in a fatal crash that killed three Bellbrook students entered a plea of denial to all charges in connection to the crash.
Jesse Whitaker, 18, who now lives in Cincinnati, was driving a truck carrying multiple passengers, including Julianna Hawk, 14, Skylar Kooken, 16, and Sophie Kerrigan, 17, authorities said. He is charged with three counts of vehicular homicide, three counts of vehicular manslaughter and failure to control.
Whitaker veered off Wagner Road in Sugarcreek Twp. and struck a tree. The three teens died at the scene, and two other passengers were injured, authorities said.
The criminal case was filed in Greene County Juvenile Court because Whitaker was 17 at the time of the crash.
