Suspicious ‘article’ found in Kettering, detonated by bomb squad

DAYTON — Dayton Bomb Squad detonated a  ‘suspicious article’ after Kettering Police found it in a vehicle near Dot’s Market on Patterson Boulevard last night, according to a Facebook post by the Kettering Police Department.

In the post, Kettering police said that the bomb squad detonated the device around midnight at the Leaf Farm on Spaulding Road.

There were no injuries.

The post added that that the investigation is ongoing, and thanked the Kettering Fire Department and Dayton Bomb Squad for their response.
