Parkway Local Schools in Mercer County is closed due to 'excessive road flooding'

MIAMI VALLEY — Multiple schools are delayed Friday morning, and one school is closed.

In Mercer County, Parkway Local Schools is delayed by two hours due to flooding, according to a social media post.

Celina City Schools are also operating on a two-hour delay.

New Carlisle Elementary School is closed on Friday due to continuous cleanup efforts after the roof caught on fire, according to a social media post.

The district said that K-1 transportation for students will be the same as it was on Thursday.

The district said they would provide an update on the cleanup on Friday afternoon.
