TRENDING STORIES:

As shown on News Center 7 at 5:00, crews were still on the scene of the standoff over six hours later.

During his time on the scene, News Center 7’s Mason Fletcher saw police detain one person, who was eventually put in the back of a cruiser, and talk to another person who neighbors said may have been the suspect’s father.

Even after that, police were still working to get someone else out of the house.

Our crew could hear glass shattering and police firing tear gas into the home.

Investigators were also flying a drone above the cul-de-sac.

Armed officers, some with riot shields, were also seen running across the street, using a SWAT truck and trees as cover.

They could also be heard on a megaphone asking the suspect to come out of the house.

Neighbors on the road made their way onto their front porches and as close to the police tape as the standoff went on. Before being told to go back inside, some told News Center 7 that they’ve seen Kettering Police at that house multiple times just this year.

The scene remains active at the time of this report. We’ll update this story as we learn more.
