Springfield Police ask public’s help solving hit-and-run

SPRINGFIELD — Springfield Police Department is asking for the public’s help in solving a hit and run incident that happened at the 1500 block of Kenton Street on Jan. 6 around 9:20 p.m.

According to police, video captured footage of a suspect running a stop sign at the intersection of Gable Street and Kenton street.

The suspect hit the victim who was traveling westbound on Kenton Street, causing the victim’s car to spin until it faced north.

The suspect vehicle is a newer-looking white SUV and should have right front damage from the crash.

Police are asking anyone with information on the white SUV or the driver to call Officer Wendy Kibler at 937-324-7717 and select option two from the automated voicemail menu or call St. Curtis directly at 937-324-7719.
