Hartshorn says this is a dream of three friends who wanted to open up a food hall, but the final result has a unique twist.
“We wanted to build with shipping containers,” Hartshorn said. “It’s a unique industrial feel that we wanted to bring to Dayton.”
After figuring out the layout, their next step was to find four local food vendors to pair with the beer garden. Hartshorn says he’s been so busy making sure everything runs smoothly that he hasn’t had time to process the end result.
“Just getting out of the way and really letting everybody else do what this place was meant to do,” Hartshorn said. “So it’s very humbling, so much gratitude.”
Dayton resident Gary Hand says he hopes he’s found a new date night spot for him and his wife.
“It looks like they’re going to do a lot more outside,” Hand said. “I think they’re just beginning, but it’s a good sign that it’s busy.”
