Dayton police investigate reported robbery at Sunoco

DAYTON — Less than 24 hours after a reported theft, Dayton police returned to MikeSells Potato Chips to investigate a breaking and entering and safecracking case, according to reports.

Officers responded to the Stanley Avenue company around 3:57 a.m. Friday for the reported breaking and entering and safecracking.

Delivery drivers arrived at the business at approximately 3:15 a.m. and discovered that the doors had been pried open, read the report.

A safe was reportedly damaged and approximately $7,000 was reported as stolen.

Thursday morning, Dayton police were dispatched to the same location for a theft call.

Around 7:51 a.m. July 5, a suspect stole two carts full of chips, read the report.

Police did not indicate that the incidents were related.
