Rumpke moving up pickup schedule due to possible excessive heat

Rumpke tips on what to, what not to recycle this holiday season

MIAMI VALLEY — The chance of record-setting heat this week has caused Rumpke Waste & Recycling to make adjustments to their upcoming collection schedule.

Crews in some areas of the Miami Valley will start their collections earlier in the day this week, according to a Rumpke spokesperson.

Due to the early starts, Rumpke has asked residents to place their materials on the curbside the night before their scheduled collection day.

“Rumpke would like to thank is customers for their attention to this matter and for their business. We look forward to keeping their neighborhoods clean and green no matter what weather comes our way,” a statement from Rumpke read.

The majority of the Miami Valley will be under an excessive heat warning through the day on Tuesday.
