WAYNE COUNTY, Indiana — A Richmond woman was killed in a single-vehicle crash west of the city in Wayne County discovered Friday morning, according to the county’s sheriff’s office.

Tiffany Renteria, 41, was identified as the victim killed in the crash, found in the 3500 block of Nolands Fork Road just before noon, Sheriff Randy Retter said in a media release.

A preliminary investigation found Renteria’s car went across the center line, crashed into a culvert, went airborne, and crashed into a utility pole. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

There were no witnesses to the crash and deputies are continuing to investigate potential factors that might have led up to the incident, Retter said.

Renteria was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, Retter said.
