Warren County Jail inmate who walked away from work release program back in jail

UPDATE @ 9:23 p.m. 4/4/19: A Warren County Jail inmate has walked away after stopping to sign himself back into the facility from a work release program.

The inmate, Franklin James McIntosh, 30, made comments earlier this evening that he was headed back to Midland, a village in Clinton County, Warren County Sheriff’s Lt. Ron Day said.

Right now, the sheriff’s office is listing McIntosh as missing and he’ll likely face a low-level misdemeanor charge when he’s apprehended, Day said.

McIntosh was participating in the work release program, had been brought back to the jail in Lebanon to sign himself back in, then took off before jail officers could process in him.

He disappeared about 7:30 p.m., Day said.

McIntosh is described as about 5-foot-9 and 190 pounds. He was last seen wearing a white T-shirt, denim jeans and brown work boots. He was carrying a black T-shirt, Day said.

According to the jail’s online records, McIntosh was arrested in March on several traffic-related charges. A state trooper arrested McIntosh on I-71 in Mason, according to jail records.

He had been sentenced on a misdemeanor charge of driving under OVI suspension.

Three other misdemeanor charges -- driving under suspension, driving under suspension/child support and failure to reinstate his driver's license. -- have been released.
