WATCH: Cruiser cam shows SUV go airborne, flip in Huber Heights police chase, crash

HUBER HEIGHTS — Dramatic cruiser camera video shows an SUV speeding away from officers on Endicott Road during a police chase before going airborne off the right side of the road and then flipping multiple times before coming to a rest in a ditch.

Huber Heights police released the video Wednesday afternoon of the police pursuit involving a white 2003 Chevrolet Trailblazer that ended Just before 3 a.m. on Endicott Road near the Fishburg Road intersection in Huber Heights.

The pursuit began following a domestic disturbance report.

A woman called 911 and said her soon-to-be ex-husband threatened her, that he wouldn’t let her leave or get ready for work. She said that her husband told her they’d both die if she left.

The woman told the dispatcher her husband was drunk, and that he had a gun.

Dispatch relayed this information to responding officers: “He’s running to the car with his gun and sticking it in the back seat.”

Then, the woman said her husband left the house.

“My officers are pursuing him,” the dispatcher reported.

The police chase and crash were all caught on camera.

Officers surrounded the SUV with their guns drawn, and demanded the driver get out with his hands up.

Huber Heights police did not release more information, such as weather the driver was in custody or what charges he faces.
