VERSAILLES — On the final day of the annual festival, Poultry Days broke their record for the number of chicken dinners sold.
Last week, we reported that the festival was expecting to sell over 29,000 dinners, which stood as the previous record. Today, on the final day to the festival, officials announced that the record had been shattered with 35,500 dinners sold.

Lines for the final 7,000 famous chicken dinners opened at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday.
On Facebook, Poultry Days organizers said the festival sold out of dinners at 4:47 p.m. on Sunday.
