Deputies investigating reported shooting on Gant Drive in Harrison Twp; male injured

HARRISON TWP. — UPDATE @ 3:36 p.m.:

One person was transported to Miami Valley Hospital with non-life threatening injuries after a shooting in Harrison Township.

According to Montgomery County Sheriff Rob Streck, deputies responded to a shooting on the 1900 block on Gant Drive at 12:48 p.m. on Saturday. Upon arrival, they discovered a male victim being transported to Miami Valley Hospital by a citizen.

Harrison Township medics were called to the corner of Republic Drive and N. Dixie Drive to transport the victim.

The matter remains under investigation. Anyone with information related to this matter is encouraged to contact the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies are investigating a reported shooting in the 1900 block of Republic Drive.

A male was taken to the hospital in a private vehicle from the scene before deputies arrived, according to initial dispatch reports.

At least 13 evidence markers have been placed, according to our crews on scene.

We are working to learn the extent of injuries and if a suspect has been taken into custody.
