REPORT: Dayton thief steals cash and security system from restaurant

DAYTON — A thief stole $2,600 and the video security system from a Dragon City restaurant in Dayton early Wednesday morning, police say.

Police were dispatched to the restaurant in the 1600 block of North Keowee Street around 10 a.m. on a breaking and entering complaint, according to a Dayton police report.

On scene, the owner told police that someone broke into the restaurant at some point overnight. A screwdriver was found lying next to the partially broken front window, read the report.

The suspect took $2,600 from the cash register and the restaurant’s video security system, according to the report.
