Wind causes pickup truck, camping trailer to flip on I-70

UPDATE @ 10 a.m.:

All lanes are now open on Interstate 70 where a pickup truck and camper flipped, according to dispatchers.

Crews are still working to flip the vehicles but roads are clear, dispatchers said.

UPDATE @ 7:55 a.m.:

One woman suffered minor injuries after her pickup pulling camping trailer flipped on its top on I-70 westbound.

She was seen wearing a neck brace at the scene.

A dog was also involved in the accident but was unharmed, according to Ohio State Highway Patrol.

The woman attempted to pull over her truck and trailer when wind began to rock the trailer but the vehicles flipped when she got to the side of the road, OSP said.

Crews are still on scene working to flip over the truck and damaged trailer.

INITIAL REPORT:

A camping trailer attached to a pickup truck has flipped onto its top on Interstate 70 westbound in Bethel Twp.

Crews were dispatched around 6:25 a.m. to the scene near State Route 235.

One westbound lane is closed and traffic is slowing down in the left lane.

It’s not yet known what caused the pickup truck and camping trailer to flip.
