JEFFERSON TWP. — A person showed up at a local hospital after being shot in Montgomery County early Wednesday.

Deputies were investigating shots heard near W. Third Street and U.S. 35 just before 12:10 a.m. They found a shooting scene at the 5900 block of West Third Street in Jefferson Township, according to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.

The shooting scene was near Grade A Auto Parts of Dayton in Jefferson Township.
A person arrived moments later at Kettering Health Dayton (Grandview) after being shot.
It was determined to be related to this incident.
That person has since been treated and released, the sheriff’s office said.
The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigations Unit continues to investigate the shooting.
