A man is in custody after a police investigation in Miamisburg on Sunday.

While heading to the scene, officers were advised that a man armed himself with a butcher knife and ran into the woods.
It prompted a large police response.
State Route 741 was closed from Habitat Boulevard to Cox Arboretum Metropark. It has since reopened.
At 6:30 p.m., the man, identified as Jerimiah Gaines, exited the woods and was taken into custody, police officials said.
State Route 741 has since reopened.
Several agencies, including the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, Miami Township, Kettering, Five Rivers Metroparks, and Moraine Police Departments, assisted.
