UPDATE: I-75 exit ramp in Shelby County reopens after crash involving overturned semi

SHELBY COUNTY — UPDATE @ 12:25 p.m.:

The ramp from southbound I-75 to Fair Road in Shelby County has reopened after an earlier crash involving an overturned semitrailer, according to state troopers.

The crash was reported around 9 a.m. after the semi overturned on its side.

State troopers said an initial investigation found the driver took the exit too fast, causing the semitrailer to roll onto its side.

The driver was not injured in the crash.

Additional details were not released.

FIRST REPORT:

A crash involving an overturned semitrailer has shut down the southbound I-75 exit ramp to Fair Road in Shelby County, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

The crash was reported sometime before 9 a.m. and involves a semitrailer that is on its side after crashing on the ramp, according to initial reports.

The crash was reported with possible injuries to the semi driver, however the condition of the driver was not immediately known, according to dispatchers.

Emergency scanner traffic indicates the semi was hauling auto parts.
