Outbreak of chickenpox in Kettering City School District

KETTERING — Public Health - Dayton Montgomery County notified Kettering City School District of a outbreak of chickenpox, according to a letter sent by the school district to parents.

The letter told parents to monitor their children for signs and symptoms of chickenpox. They also advised if the child is ill, to keep them out of school approximately six days.

The health department recommended that students who were unvaccinated to be excluded form school for 21 days after the last identified case on March 5th.
