Power restored to most, cause of outage still unknown

MONTGOMERY COUNTY — UPDATE @ 5:30 p.m.:

Only 16 outages are reported in all of Montgomery County, according to the Dayton Power & Light online outage map.

UPDATE @ 11:58 p.m.:

Power has been restored to most of Centerville, according to the online outage map.

About 75 locations are still without power.

We are still working to learn the cause of this outage and updates will be available as we receive new information.

INITIAL REPORT:

DP&L crews have been dispatched to investigate a power outage that has knocked out electric service to over 2,700 people in Montgomery County Wednesday.

The majority of the outages, around 2,630 customers, are centered in Centerville, according to an online outage map.

A DP&L spokeswoman said crews have been dispatched to investigate the situation however the cause of the outage remains unknown.

Centerville police said the traffic lights on Clyo Road between Bigger and Alex Bell roads have been knocked out due to the outage.

Additional details were not available.
