TROY — The 13th annual Tour de Donut bicycle event on Saturday was another success.
With a record number of 3,000 riders, there was an emphasis on safety on the open roads merging with the motoring public.
Before the ride started, organizer Roger Bowersock warned riders that if you fail to stop at a stop sign or go left of center “you could die.”
A dozen of extra Miami County deputies also were patrolling the bike routes to help prevent accidents.
The event started at 8:30 a.m. with the kid races going first.
