UPDATE: 2 men identified in fatal rollover crash on I-70 in Springfield

SPRINGFIELD — One man is dead and another man is in the hospital with serious injuries after a rollover crash on Interstate 70 Friday night.

45-year-old Dennis Baker from Dayton was identified as the man who died in the crash. 41-year-old Tony Nicholson from Dayton is in the hospital with serious injuries.

Crews were called out to the scene of a rollover crash near exit 47 on I-70 at 10:12 p.m. Friday according to a press release.

Police determined the SUV they were traveling in struck a center median and rolled across three lanes of westbound traffic on I-70.

Sgt. David Slanker with Ohio State Highway Patrol tells us when emergency crews arrived at the scene they found Nicholson had been ejected from the crash and Baker was still in the vehicle.

Nicholson was transported by Mad River Township EMS to Soin Medical Center for serious injuries, said Slanker.

Baker was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say both occupants were not wearing their seat belts.
