UPDATE @ 11:10 p.m.: The Sugarcreek Twp. Zoning Board on Tuesday night recommended that the township trustees approve the new homes project, but a traffic study must be completed first.
INITIAL REPORT
A new development proposed near the intersection of Darst and Swigart roads would have 189 new home sites, according to plans submitted to Sugarcreek Twp. within the last 10 days.
The development is being proposed by HPA Development Group, a developer based near Cincinnati. A builder for the new homes has not been selected, the township said.
The homes would range in prices from $325,000 to $400,000 and would be single-story, two-story and patio-style designs, the documents show.
The 66-acre plot of land near the border of Sugarcreek Twp. and Beavercreek would consist of nearly three homes per acre, with 20 acres of planned open space.
The development also would have a playground, community garden and a homeowners association.
The houses would range in size from 1,400 to just over 2,500 square feet.
Township zoning officials are expected to hear the case during the Oct. 2 zoning meeting.
The Oberer development proposed in the area of Wilmington Dayton and Conference roads initially scheduled for the same meeting has been tabled to the Nov. 13 zoning meeting, township officials said.
