Multiple high school football games made up due to inclement weather

MIAMI VALLEY — Several high school football games were made up today after being postponed due to weather.

These games included Xenia/Beavercreek, Fairborn/Tecumseh, Oakwood/West Carrollton, Springfield, and Southeastern Local/Northwestern.

The Beavers led the Buccaneers, 14-7, at halftime on Friday. Lightning forced the game to be moved to Saturday morning.

Xenia led 16-14, but freshman Jackson Dahl’s 20-yard field goal with six seconds left gave Beavercreek a 17-16 win in the 25th annual Backyard Brawl at Frank Zink Field in Beavercreek High School.

Tecumseh hosted Fairborn on Saturday morning. Weather forced Friday’s game to be moved. The Skyhawks won, 31-7.

Oakwood beat West Carrollton, 43-6, at West Carrollton High School.

Springfield High School beat Winton Woods, 14-13, in overtime. It’s the second straight season that the Wildcats have beaten Winton Woods.

Southeastern Local beat Northwestern, 20-6, at Taylor Field.
