MONTGOMERY COUNTY — A motorcyclist was cited after their motorcycle went off the roadway on Interstate 70 in Montgomery County over the weekend.

Just after 12:50 p.m. on Sunday, Ohio State Highway Patrol (OSHP) troopers were dispatched to I-70 EB near Dayton International Airport Access Road on reports of a motorcycle crash, according to a previous News Center report.

The preliminary investigation revealed a Suzuki GSX-R600 motorcycle, operated by 20-year-old Coltin Spurlock of Clayton, was traveling east on I-70.
The motorcycle experienced a suspected mechanical malfunction/brake failure and traveled off the left side of the roadway, according to the OSHP.
The motorcycle was laid down before traveling off the roadway.
Spurlock was not injured in the crash. He was found to be at fault for the crash and cited for Failure to Maintain Reasonable Control of a Motor Vehicle.
The crash remains under investigation by the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
