Mobile meth lab remnants found in Moraine

The remnants of what was believed to have been a mobile meth lab were discovered Tuesday evening near the rear of two businesses in this city.

A citizen made the discovery and called police, Moraine Sgt. Jon Spencer said Tuesday night.

The items were found in a garbage bag behind the businesses on Dryden and East River roads at about 5:40 p.m.

A crew from the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigations was called and removed the items, Spencer said.

There are no suspects, Spencer said, but police will be alert to drug activity in the area that could be connected to the manufacture of meth.
