MIAMI VALLEY — Pre-registration is open for the 2021 Miami Valley Cycling Summit scheduled May 7.
The event will be virtual from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., hosted by Bike Miami Valley and the city of Kettering.
The cycling summit works to use the power of cycling to drive economic development in communities throughout the Miami Valley, organizers stated.
This year’s theme is “Safe Cycling for All.”
Sessions will occur in the afternoon and will cover topics such as updates on regional bikeways, winter bike facility maintenance, equity in planning and advocacy and a review of Safe Routes to School programs.
If anyone would like to participate in a self-guided ride of Kettering’s bike amenities and assets they can do so May 14 from 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., stated a media release.
