Police: Girl hit by vehicle while trying to cross street in Piqua

PIQUA — A CareFlight medical helicopter was requested after a 12-year-old girl was hit by a car in Piqua Wednesday morning, according to police.

The girl was conscious and talking to medics at the scene, but her condition nor the status of her injuries are not known.

Crews responded to the 800 block of South Street around 8:10 a.m.

The girl was trying to cross the street when she ran out from some parked cars and was hit by a vehicle, according to police.

Medics transported her to meet CareFlight at Upper Valley Medical Center.

Police are not citing anyone in the incident.
